Question Digital outside temperature gauge blinks!

For about 2 months the ambient air temperature gauge blinks for about one minute after starting the car up. Then it stops completely. The temperature is right and all it's just odd. Anyone knows what's wrong? Thank you!

Yeah- you have a HVAC code set- most likely your a/c compressor has been disabled due to low refrigerant level-- in other words you have leaked out too much refrigerant for it to try to cool your car- so it has shut down the compressor to save it from burning it up.

Re: Digital outside temperature gauge blinks!

The A/C works just fine. Why's that? And also could this have something to do with the fact that it blows about 10* colder on the passenger side than the drivers?

Re: Digital outside temperature gauge blinks!

I played the percentages- most of the time it is the A/C- but in your case it may be a damper door actuator-or some other problem- there are about 10 codes that can be read- start by researching that.

Re: Digital outside temperature gauge blinks!

Time to get a code reader finally I guess. Thanks. I'll post back when I know something.
