Ultra Scary Kit!!!!
Just out of curiousity, has anyone on this board either completed, or attempted to complete, one of Accurate Minatures McLaren M8B kits?

I have 3 AM kits. The 2 Corvette Grand Sports, and the 1970 M8B.
The McLaren M8B is the most detailed. I'll start the M8B soon. I've been considering using the vinyl pieces as a template, and replace them with real braided hoses. The instruction book alone is intimidating. It's as thick as a short novel, but full of interesting facts about the car an the era of Can-Am. Are you starting it? The only one I've ever seen completed is on the box. HAHA.

I might be building one on commission soon, and my Dad has one for himself. I'm appropriately intimidated, but I also want to swipe the driveline for my Corvair project.

Looking forward to building one of these one day, have two on the shelf. Sounds like there are a few problems with them but the potential for a killer model is apparent. A shame AM went out of business, would have been interesting to see what else they might have done.
