Engine idles fast and hunts, stall and resumes.

1990 eclipse GSX. Idles between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm and hunts. Will stall and resume on highway and a couple of times had to pull over. restarted fine. Have too much positive crank pressure and throwing oil from valve cover. Engine has no knocks, no smoke, good oil pressure and pcv valve is fine. Just bought and put on road after 7 years sitting in field. Runs like a raped ape other than that. Any ideas?

You can try to pull the ISC and see if it needs cleaned. I would also test the coils while you have it out. Have you done a boost leak test yet? I'd assume that a car sitting for that long would have a few vacuum leaks and does it just need a new valve cover? That's what I would suggest doing.
