Green Kawasaki

The kit is by Tamiya, the paint is a color match by Tamiya, and the front fork kit is by Tamiya, but they let me build it.

Re: Green Kawasaki

Nice clean model, all it misses is some heat staining on the exhaust.

What do you mean by - but they let me build it?

Re: Green Kawasaki

VERY nicely made my friend .. I'm in the process of building this exact kit so I know the effort you have put into this!

One question from one modeller to another, how the hell did you get those stupidly fiddly three piece green wheel decals to all line up and look perfect???? I'm finding it hard because if you put them together they don't make a perfect circle, even if I overlap them!!

Re: Green Kawasaki

The wheel decals do line up, but I shortened them to avoid escessive overlap. The problem was in using the setting solution. The wheel rim is narrow and has a ledge, so the solution wants to pull them up to the ledge and misalign them. Very frustrating. The pipes aren't blued because they don't show on the finished model. I said they let me build it because Tamiya has finished models, but while they expand their product line they have let their line of street cars and motorcycles dwindle to a couple per year. Very frustrating.
