Replacing Door Handle

Hey Hows It Goin? Here In The Next Few Days, I Will Be Replacing The Drivers Side Front Outer Door Handle On A 2001Ford Explorer XLT, And I Was Wondering What Size Rivets Do I Need To Use To Ensure That It Wont Just Pop Off From Using Small Rivets.

Also I Know This Is In The Wrong Category, But I Will Also Be Doing The Same Thing To The Drivers Side Inside Door Handle On A 1992 Chevrolet Caprice, And Would Like To Know The Same Thing.

Thanks For Any Help Yall Can Provide!!!

Re: Replacing Door Handle

The rivets are 1/4 inch rivets. If you don't already have a heavy duty rivet tool for these, the least expensive route I've found is via Harbor Freight. The heavy duty rivet tool comes with 1/4 inch rivets.

I can't help on the Caprice. Doesn't it take a long time to capitalize every word of every sentence? It sure makes it difficult for me to read it.

Re: Replacing Door Handle

Hey thanks very much for the help. As for the capitalization of every word, kinda a habit I developed in the Navy, and it actually takes me longer to type normally. lol.
