Cool 97 GMC 5.0 Timing Mark Location

I need 97 GMC 5.0 Timing Mark Location . Do they exist? Someone pulled distributer out, got top dead center. Need timing marks.

Thanks for the info... have a scanner... engine won't run... Was just trying to align TDC with "0" timing mark... having trouble locating it.

Probably need to pull the #1 plug and get it close to TDC on the compression stroke and then set the dist. Pretty sure there are no timing marks on the Vortec.

My 98 doesn't have timing marks. I had to replace the timing gear - and had a tough time getting the thing to line back up. The oil pump is connected to the dist gear....
