clutch

Hey everyone,
was just wondering what brand clutch yall prefer, I have a 96 s10 w/2.2 it is my daily driver, but would just like to know theres somthing good in there. I do beat the daylights out of it "potholes, double payload, redline gears, towing, everyday", but I do also take care of it, just want to know whats good, whats bad,and whats fun.

Re: clutch

Avoid Centerforce and I've had bad experience with Clutchnet. I would just find a good OEM replacement like Sachs.

Re: clutch

ACT. Centerforce is a disaster right now, and we are about to drop them as a supplier. We've had waaaaaaaaay to many issues with them. Shoot me a PM, we do a ton of S10 stuff here (boss man used to have one) and I'll get some prices for you.

Re: clutch

Ohh, I forgot about ACT. They make great clutches. I wish they made one for the GTC.

Re: clutch

I would go with ACT or Exedy. Stay away from Centerforce and Spec clutches

I've sold four ACTs to Cobalt SS/Ion Redline guys. They love 'em.

Re: clutch

^Yeah they seem to be a good choice! The ones with bank get the exedy hyper single but its crazy expensive so most go with an ACT because they are solid and dont chatter or whine and they grab very well, especially for the price!
