302 ford truck motor rear motor seal leaking

Yes I got 1990 v-8 302 motor.The rear motor seal is leaking .Does anyone know what i can do to stop or slow it down a LOT, BESIDES REPLACEING IT. iT IS NOT A SPLIT SEAL ONE PIECE SEAL.dONT WANT TO HAVE TO PULL THE TRANMISSION TO OR THE MOTOR IF I CAN FIX IT SOMEHOW ,OR SLOW IT DOWN A LOT .? tHANKS ANY HELP BE THANKFUL

running thicker engine oil might put a band aid on it so to speak but you run the risk of losing the engine... some oil pumps cant handle thicker oils.

Lip seals usually don't respond to anything except replacement. The only thing you will be able to do is add oil as needed until you get it replaced.
