Exclamation Ignition System Testing Results? Help

i've a 98 toyota camry. threw a check engine lite and ran rough for a minute or so while driving. hooked it up and error was 2nd cyl misfire. so i have tested resistence in the spark plug wires and the 2 ignition coils as folows: sp 1 12, sp 2 10, sp 3 8 and sp4 0 (yes 0 tested several times); coil 1 and 2 both 14. the sp wires are original i'm figuring sp are 2. curious about a 0 reading for resistence? is there a special tool for removing the end of the sp wire that goes into the ignition coil? the current ones were on there difficult and the plastic was brittle and the flangs broke, still sits down in there but planning on replacing the wire set. has 137k on the car. from what i've read the rest of the values are ok for a cold read, yes? have to special order the wire set so is wrapping the plastic where it broke off in electrical tape a good way to go for temporary protection? if not what should i do?

O resistance probably means there is an internal break somewhere in the wire. You can use the same meter to check that wire for continuity. It probably will not check out. A new set of wires is in order. I would get a good set as the I've seen the cheap aftermarket ones last as little as 1 year or 20,000 miles.

As far as the electrical tape, it probably will not work. The voltage going through there is too high for electrical tape to be of muchy use. I would try some silicone as a very temporary fix until the new wires are installed.
