1998 Park Avenue ABS Pump Question

I have a 1998 Buick Park avenue Base with 3.8
I am trying to find some information on the ABS Pump. I have replaced my front wheel bearings and ABS/Traction light is still on. I took it to 2 separate mechanics and they both read the ABS codes and told me my ABS pump is bad. Both want over 500.00 to repair. I am mechanically inclined and would like to do it my self if it can be done without any specialty tools. I do have traction control. I do not have magnetic variable steering I believe it is option (opt NW9). Any help would be appreciated.

The abs units are not repairable in the field, if the diagnosis is correct, you can get remans from Napa.

Im asking if I need any special tools to install it/Bleed the lines. I have read that some units need a special scan tool to bleed the ABS.

98 will need a scanner capable of actuating the solenoids for proper bleeding.
