I got a 04 ram 1500 2wheel drive short box model with the 5.7 hemi in it. By all means the truck pulls itself around just fine but i've always thought about how much better it would be to be a 5 or a 6spd. Was there a manual option available at the time and if so is it possible to convert an auto to a manual in a clean fashion besides obviously having to cut into the floor? i would love to be able to get the good downshift whenever i wanted instead of depending on the trans. to get a nice solid shift. Any info or feedback would be helpful.
