Alfa and Ferrari 1/43rd models

I made these 1/43rd models for the Ferrari Expo and old Strictly 43rd show back a few years. The Alfa 2600SZ is a old Provence Moulage kit that I added wire wheels to(an option on the real Alfa). The other Alfa is the BTCC 1994 Champion made from a BBR kit with alot of changes. It still does not look 100% correct in shape. The last is the Ferrari/Lancia D50 1955 Monaco model by Renaissance of France. This is a nice kit that is still in production. I put the wheel spinners on backwards.

All 3 are great looking models, however that Zagato Alfa 2600SZ is gorgeous.

I always liked the Tarquini Alfa but that is just sweet and 1/43 - amazing!

Re: Alfa and Ferrari 1/43rd models

Thanks for your nice comments. I would say to anyone that 1/43rd modeling is a good practice scale. It will also help you build larger scale models. I recommend all modelers try a few 1/43rd kits just to sharpen their skills. They also have that fine jewel look to them if done well.

By the way, the Alfa 155 and 2600SZ were done 15 years ago. They held up very well, but the bare metal foil is showing age on the 2600SZ. Not really a big fan of bmf for that reason.

Carrera Pan America model cars are the special added theme for 2011.
