How to remove brake actuator rod?

I need to pull my leaking hydroboost and either repair or replace. What is the procedure for removing the brake switch and disconnecting the brake rod? From what I've read the switch just pops off the rod and slides off. I am able to pop it off the brake rod, but it won't slide.
Thanks!!!

Re: How to remove brake actuator rod?

You need to remove a clip before you can slide the switch off.
Real pain to remove/reset...
