86 bronco II

First off I am aware of the bronco 2 curse. I;m a victim. I purchased a 86 bronco II, after it sat a couple of years I gave it a new home.
Ran great after replacing both fuel pumps, filters, plugs, wires button.......
Last week it developed "the curse" everyone is talking about.. crank it up idles fine, drive it down the road, black smoke boiling out of the exhaust, skipping and running rough, push down the gas and she runs great till the engine levels back off then does it again?????????? Need some help here

Re: 86 bronco II

try running sea foam threw your oil and gas then change the oil. also there dist cap is up against the fire wall and they will crack easy if you hammer it. if that don't work you have carben built up it sounds like to me and that can be many things.

Re: 86 bronco II

Well I have done the sea foam thing several times due to it sitting trying to make sure everything was cleaned out. yesterday I replaced the dist. module and the coil at the same time in another attempt. And hopefully, I still have my fingers crossed, I drove it to work and she ran 110% better???? So I really am not sure which was bad, but I'm gonna keep going till it happens again, but hopefully it wont!
