Digital Speedometer Trigger

Hey guys. I'm restoring a 1979 Z28, and I'm going to be replacing the stock gauges with some Auto Meter gauges. Since the Auto Meter speedo's top out at 160MPH, and this car is going to have a lot of power (plan to run it on a track and whatnot), I plan to get a digital speedometer box to mount on top of the dash.

My question is, is there a way to trigger the digital speedometer to turn on once I hit 160MPH+, and then turn off when I drop below 160 again?

Re: Digital Speedometer Trigger

I know the newer gauges have warning light features and they will turn a different color, say go from blue to red for example, once they reach a predetermined level set by its owner. Hope that helps.
