Unhappy 2000 impala BCM programming. Help!

OK so real quik: no headlight, no windows no locks or coolant fans. SOunds like the BCM.
i bought a new one from autozone for 100 bucks, put it in only to find it has to be programmed. Now heres the problem it cost 160 bucks and im sure its not that serious of a job. But the dealer throws in "weve had some trouble with those autozone ones" in other words "im going to mess it up, so you may as well buy from us!" and theres cost 275! so heres my question(s)
1. is there really a difference in quality between the 2 BCM's?
2. Can other places program it for me?
3. Better yet, can i program it myself?
if i can do it myself please give simple detailed instructions in the parts ill need and step by step how to do it. Thanks Guys or Gals for your help!

You should have had it checked out before throwing parts at it.
The one in your car was a new GM BCM but the one from AZ is a rebuilt one.

To reprogram the BCM requires a tech 2 scanner.

If you have one you can do it.

If you still have your old BCM put it back in and have a good repair shop check it out or just let the dealer have at the AZ BCM.
The AZ one may not be the best but should be warranted if bad.
Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

No on coolant.
But it should be serviced right away.
On coolant fan not turning on we need more info.
Is the PCM turning on coolant fan relays?
How warm is engine getting?

What engine?
Have you checked fuses for fan?
Have you checked the coolant fan?
Jumper fused 12 violts to it and see if it runs.
Will it run with AC on?
Any engine running codes?
Is it full of coolant?
What all did the dealer replace or fix?
As many problems you are having I would check all fuse and power feeds and grounds.
