2003 will go into 4 Auto by itself

Hi, I have 2003 Sierra with the push button 4 wheel drive. In the last year, I have noticed that when I start it, it will be in 4 Auto, instead of 2 Hi. It will probably do it once every 10 times. It never happened the first couple of years I had it. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen, and if the switches on the dash are starting to go.
