2003 sierra 1500hd slt 6.0
I am trying to figure out why when I hit the gas that my trucks pick up is very hesitant and really have to mat it down to the floor for it to go!! "Reduced Engine Power" came up and i got my o2 sensor fixed and that has gone away. A mechanic told me that there was a code for me to replace my "throttle body module" all i can find for parts is either the throttle body itself that has the actuator with it or mass air flow sensor. Two kinda expensive parts and would really like to know which one to do....it is becoming a money pit. I have a new battery, alternator, spark plugs and wires and o2 sensor so far anymore suggestions???

look at the side of throttle body if its fly by wire the module is probably part of it the price will show it though so be certain before you buy you dont need it flashed for the truck

Re: 2003 sierra 1500hd slt 6.0
you need to replace the throttle body assembly with the actuator included, not the mass airflow sensor. It can get kind of expensive but the throttle on your vehicle is electonically controlled so what is happening is your sensors in your throttle body are sending false readings.
