97 Rodeo A/C not working
Hello, my A/C was working, now when I turn the A/C the clutch will not engage. The A/C light works and I have checked all the fuses. I have checked the pressure and is fine. I guess my next step is to jump the A/C to the battery to see if the clutch will work. Any ideas, thanks...

Re: 97 Rodeo A/C not working
There is a sensor/switch type of thing in-line with the refrigerant line somewhere. I'm not an A/C expert but I know a little. This switch senses the a/c line pressure and if the pressure is too low, it won't allow the compressor clutch to engage. If the switch is bad, it make the a/c not work. Also, there is an a/c relay in the fuse box under the hood, IIRC.

Re: 97 Rodeo A/C not working
Thanks. I'm so lucky! I was troble shooting the A/C when I notice that one of the cables was unpulged. I guess when I was changing the valve cover gasket, I must have unpluged the A/C by accident. Now it works like new.....so nice!
