dash lights not working ...

hi .. i am new here as i just purchased a 2000 buick park avenue. i just noticed that the dash lights do not come on when i pull the headlight switch on ... i am unable to read my speed, etc. at night. all other interior lights work, in the doors, in the headliner etc. everything else also seems to work. when i rotate the headlight switch, also the dimmer, to the right all the way, the interior lights come on .. but no change in the dash lighting.. i assume this car is like all others in that you can change the brigtness of the dash lighting by turning the headlight switch knob ??

any help is greatly appreciated. there looks like a lot of good info here!!!

just found the problem .. thought i checked all the fuses ... guess not.

lights are working.. should have checked fuses again before posting

What fuse was it? I am having the same issue with my 2001 park ave. Except one of the door lights works and the rest are not working.
