A/C Fan...

94 Chevy Caprice...When I turn mi a/c on, jus one fan cum on...but when i idle it up the other fan kick on...i thought both fan suppose 2 run at the same time...Iz this normal???

with the ac on normally one fan will operate, unless the refrigerant pressure is above a predetermined set point I think it would be above 300psi...then 2 fans...so if it where 100deg f out and you began vehicle operation with the ac on max the both fans should come on for a period of time until the air inside the vehicles gets down to a cooler temp.....


the other condition would be if the engine gets over about 235deg f then both fans should come on as well..this is not normal and the coolant system needs work if this occurs too frequently..
