what should i do?
if i have a 91 civic si and i wanna do a swap should i go ls or b16?

It all depends on what you really want. both have thier +/-

If you're goin all motor go b16. Goin turbo go ls. You can also turbocharge the b16 if you want. i would get the b16 but thats me.

Hi, Kris, and welcome.
"It depends." That's the appropriate answer for just about everything in life. The B16, especially the head, has a better design than the B18. It'll rev higher and last longer. It is lacking in torque. This only makes a difference if you are constantly going straight up monstrous hills, pulling a trailer, or if you weigh over 300 pounds or carry around a buddy or girlfriend in that same category. Street racing is another realm in which torque is more important than horsepower. As well as mud bogs and tractor pulls. There's plenty of info on this forum, so get ready to spend some quality time searching. Good luck. Flunky PS-If my dad had a Honda, he'd need the B18. Maybe someday I will, too. |

if u want torque then find urself a b16a head and try to find a gsr short block.
