Q? re: Bullitt Mustang

Hi all
Recently acquired Revell's kit of this most famous Pony car & I'm curious about the wheels/tyres. Does anyone know what size they should be?

The wheels scale out to somewhere between 15" & 16"
The tyres scale out to about 26.5" x 8". The sidewall measurement once scaled out would suggest a 75 series tyre.

Would this be pretty close because they just look a little too skinny?

Re: Q? re: Bullitt Mustang

Found this after a quick search: http://www.ponysite.de/bullitthowto.htm

I don't know how accurate that sites info is but 15 inch and tall and skinny tires sounds right for the time period.
