98 malibu turn signals flash wierd when headlights on

hey to anyone that might know, we have a 98 malibu the intake manifold gasket blew, replaced it then got dreaded p0300 code found out that it had to bad injectors replaced those now everything works fine except when the headlights are on the turn signals flash real fast and they both blink. ( left one on they both blink right one on they both blink). my hazards work like normal wether headlights are on or off just the turn signals? can someone please help i dont have time to look at all 103 pages to find any other threads about this issue please help? by the way these cars suck worst than any other car i've ever seen

are you kidding me? this line of cars is arguably the best that gm ever made in my opinion, save the intake fiasco.... there are lumina cars that I know of personally from the mid and early 90s that are basically the same car powertrain wise that have 250k miles on them with not much except trans issues, usually the "flashlight" of "stovepipe". they are called that by us techs because they look like these two.

anyway...you have a ground problem. look around the intake job first because it has been messed with, but usually the headlight grounds are near the headlights. what is happening is that the other lights are trying to ground through the others, hence they flash too. My bet is that all lights are dimmer than they should be too. you have a weak ground somewhere

Re: 98 malibu turn signals flash wierd when headlights on

thanks for your reply but all the lights work like normal except the drl's arent coming on and the flashers work fine until you turn the headlights on. all the relays in the fuse box seem good and all the fuses are good? it's like this car knows, as soon as you fix something, something else goes wrong. and i'm not knocking all gms just this model malibu, i had an 89 grand prix 280,000 miles on it when i wrecked it trying to miss a deer still ran when we sent it to the scrap yard. but we've had nothing but problems with this thing
