Seen today - Harrison F1 ?

Never seen an F1 on the road before, but to my amazement and slight disbelief saw a purple coloured F1 coming towards me today when I was out on my bike here:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...,0.057421&z=14

I turned round and tried to follow it, but was slightly delayed in doing so and must have picked the wrong turning and didn't see it again. Reg plate was M7 AUM which consensus seems to say is George Harrison's old car ? I saw it less than 10 miles from Henley on Thames where Harrison's house is, so that would add up.

I'm just gutted I didn't get a better look or a photo !

Re: Seen today - Harrison F1 ?

Not much to say other than I am quite jealous. I would guess that seeing the car is a pretty rare thing since if it got out more often there would certainly be more images floating around. Normally I'd say keep a camera with you at all times, but that might not help in this case.

Yup, that's the Harrison car

and it also may have been seen just after another F1 sighting in the same area -

Black could be confused for the purple, espcially to the untrained eye

And all these spots no more than 20 miles away from me, with the Crowthorne spot 3 miles from me

Re: Seen today - Harrison F1 ?

If I were prone to educated guesses (oh wait, I am ) I'd say it was probably 'DARTH' - chassis #069.
