04 Impala 3.8 cooling
2004 impala LS w3.8 L aprox 130,000 miles. love this vehicle but having whatseems to be commom cooling problems. have been told probably upper intake manifold leaking. engine uses coolant but no coolant in oil. also looks like egr tube leaking today. does new upper intake come with egr tube and is it that simple of a fix, or could it be something internal also?

The UIM is the most common issue, the egr tube in the intake corrodes thru to the coolant passage, when removing the throttle body this can be seen, lower gaskets are a could be but less common.
