what ecu are you running? it could very well be that you aren't getting enough air and fuel and starving out the engine...

It sounds almost like my problem except ive only got a d15b2 and mine bogs down at the beginning of evryu gear up to 2500, then ive got loads of power. I know its not plugs or feul filter. I think the next thing im gonna try is the fuel pump.

hey, fierce civic....my car does the same thing.....it's not my plugs or wires cuz those are relatively new....my car is completely stock except my aftermarket intake....I've heard that the dpfi doesn't react well to intake mods....i was thinking that could be my problem....I was also thinking that it could be something to do with my injectors....well...time to get some injector cleaner!!! lol....my car doesn't really accelerate that great until I reach about 2.5-3k Rpm....anyone know what it could be?

this problem really pisses me off cause u really have to feather the clutch or else ull stall it. And i havnt done anything to my intake so its not that. Ive tried injector cleaner that helped a tiny bit but hardly touched it. I was talking to a mechanic the other night and he says it might be the feul pump. hey bambam89lx when does urs start doing it, right off the bat or after u drive it for a while??

dude the HF intake manifold is like the circumfrence of a quarter. you need to ditch that thing pronto.

An Si manifold will bolt right on using all your existing wires. You might want to think about some Si injectors, even though word on the internet is that all the injectors are the same flow rate 240cc. I was using a couple mismatched injectors in my engine (3 from an 89 teg, 1 from an HF CRX) and the CRX injector was making the car miss badly and run lean on that particular cylinder. If you are looking to make some power, get the bigger manifold..

My car does it in every gear but only when it's cold out. After my car has time to warm up, it doesn't do it at all. But when I first get up I start my car and when I take off in every gear it is sluggish (I know I should warm my car up but I'm always late and in a hurry for everything..lol). About 10 minutes later the car is warmed up and it doesn't do it....so maybe its just normal for a 14 yr. old car that you don't give it time to warm up and I'm always running on a quarter tank of gas on like 87 or 89 octane....so most likely it's all of those reasons together...lol
