Catilytic Converter 1998
Can clogged cat converters cause engine to go into "limp mode" if they get hot enough? Recently, I experienced engine going under power after 98 TC had been running for a couple of hours. Car would run choppy as in limp mode, but after it cooled, it runs great. Is this common? Can it be possible the 02 sensors got hot and caused this?

Re: Catilytic Converter 1998
Clogged cats should cause issues when cold or hot. You may have a faulty sensor somewhere. If you have access to a code reader, use it. There may be a code stored without the CEL being lit.

Re: Catilytic Converter 1998
Yes, I hooked diagnostics up and it was showing bad on right bank. I just didn't know if that could cause "limp mode" or choppy running, only when hot. Thank you.
