No power to ac compressor

99 astro awd. the ac was working last week, the system is charged and does hold freon. when i jump the pessure sensor on the dryer it still doesn not come on. i checked all fuses and relays , all check ok. i do have 12v+ coming into the switch on the back of the compressor and returning out so i know that switch is closed. i do have a ground at the power plug ontop of teh comessor. when i give the green wire +12v with a power probe the compressor comes on and tha ac blows cold. i beleive the ac switch is working because when its on ac i get the 12v+ to the switch on back of compressor, i have no idea what that switch does. when i turn switch of i lose the +12v. any suggesions? thanks joe donato
