OBDI or OBDII?

I have a 1994 G20 and was wondering how do I tell if it's an OBDI or OBDII?

Anyone have a list somewhere?

As a general rule OBD II wasnt introduced untill 1995.
However it depends as to what model year your car fits into, and what Nissan was doing in 94.

I would say its OBD I.
But I would also wait for some of the g20 nuts to get here to find out for sure.

I'm pretty sure it's OBD-I. The '94 Sentra SE-R is OBD-I.

Saw a post from FlossinPrimera...

OBD I is for G20s up through the 1993.5 model year, the 94+ G20s are OBD II

Is this correct? Can anyone confirm this?

Just wanted to make sure also so.

Thanks.

Doesn't the OBD-I have only one O2 sensor? and the OBD-II have two?

If that is true, you can use that as a determining factor to which one your car has.

I am probably completely wrong, but I thought I heard that somewhere once.

On most japanese cars I've seen this is a good determining factor.
However I know of at least one that are OBD I and use two O2 sensors.
I know there is something on the ECU itself that will tell you, but I have no idea its actualy say's "OBD I" or if its incorperated into the ECU number.

Try a search for OBD 1 and see what you find.
I believe there is a site called www.OBDII.com or something similar.

Ah! Good point. This is certainly true for the SR20. Very astute.
