voyager van 1992 stalls

i have 92 voyager van stalls when i put it in any gear. runs great idles great. if you get it to go it runs down the road great. But when you stop it stalls . starts up fine until you put it in gear then it dies . Please help me

Have you chgecked the IAC or Fuel pressure regulator?

It is possible that the torque converter clutch (if applicable) is not releasing- at that point, the car feels like it has a standard transmission with no clutch. Is this what it feels like? If so, the easiest tests are electronic (solenoid, wiring, etc.). It might help to know engine, trans model, etc.

yea it feels like a standard with no cluth. It has 3.3l v6 its 1992 . sometimes it works and idles in gear but not very often. it runs great once you get it to go. sometimes i start it 30 or so times before it will go . it starts fine and idles fine. it just dies when you put it in gear. oh and you dont want to stop at lights or stop signs because it jerks then dies. If you can, try and get the codes from the TCM. I believe that by disconnecting the solenoid block, you will be in limp mode- if the van does not stall then, it is electronic in nature (TCM, input, wiring). If it still occurs, then a mechanical/solenoid fault is indicated.
