S-10 coolant leak

My 2000 S10 truck is leaking coolant right above the transmission. At first I thought it was leaking tranny fluid but it turns out to be coolant. I cant pinpoint the leak. Will took a better look tommorow. has anybody else ever have this happen with them. Thanks Gary

probably the heatercore or the hoses connecting to the heatercore..

removal of the hoses at engine then pressure test for leak ..

Depends on what part of it is leaking.
You need to find where it is leaking.
Have a good close look at it and see where it is coming from.
They make a coolant dye to put in coolant for hard to find leaks.
Also a good coolant system pressure test cold and warm and hot will show leaks.

Re: S-10 coolant leak

If you have a 2000 S10 with a 4.3 and the Lower intake gaskets have never been replaced, I can promise that the gaskets are shot and are due for replacement.. The good thing is that Fel Pro does make an updated gasket set..
