Re: what else should i replace while doing timing belt
How many miles?
Agreed, consider a new water pump if the miles are way up there..around ~200k. Mine was fine and not leaking after 207k, but I figured if I had it apart I might as well...felt I'd be tempting fate if I didn't. Just make sure you get a good brand...OEM would be best since it has a good stainless steel impeller...mine was still new and shiny when I pulled it. Most parts stores and eBay sellers have a cast iron impeller which will take more care to keep the coolant from diminishing in corrosion protection. I'd also consider replacing the idler pulleys along with the aforementioned crank, cam, and oil seals. Finally, buy a valve cover gasket set if it hasn't been changed out recently. Good luck!
