2003 gmc envoy xl windows

The rear side passenger windows have suddenly both stopped working (two weeks apart). I can no longer open them from the driver control nor can I open them using their own controls. When I do press on the driver control (for the rear left or right window), I can hear a "click" noise coming from the window that I am trying to open. I am referring to the windows in the second row....not the third row. Would both motors die suddenly? Can it be something else...something not so major?
Any help would be appreciated!

You need to take the trim panels off and check for 12v to the motors. I assume you have the lockout switch off?

Re: 2003 gmc envoy xl windows

Hey Max,

Yes, the lock out switch is in the proper position. Oddly enough, the window behind the driver worked again today. I opened it halfway and then closed it again...I was kind of afraid that if I opened it all the way, it would get stuck in that position (I'd rather it be stuck closed than open). Is it relatively simple to take off the panel? Is it easy to figure out where I'd have to check the 12 volt? I guess checking the fuses is of no use (couldn't find the "window" fuse in the owner's manual anyway)?
