Jacks

Has anyone found a catalog that sells old style bumper jacks for 1968 gto? I have Ames Performance, OPGI, and Year One, and none of them seem to have one. Thanks

Re: Jacks

Pete,

I spoke to Performance Years. No one is reproducing the jacks at this time. As said before, use AMes Performance or Performance Years for your Pontiac restoration parts. They don't sell Chevy parts... At least she knew what was "up". The names you listed I've tried before, with less "satisfaction" than the two I recommend. Pontiacs are their business, not an "afterthought".

You can try e-bay (according to the girl at PY). She said there were some there last week.

You can also call Jules at Arizona Desert Specialties (520) 574-9611. He has a TON of rust-free stuff found around the Arizona and California deserts. He's ugly and old, but a good guy!

Re: Jacks

The '68 bumper jack is specific to that year only because of the style/make of the bumper,a LeMans and Tempest jack would also be the same!Check for any Swap Meets,GTO Shows or the yearly POCI (Pontiac Oakland Club International) Meet each year for a good used bumper jack? You can also check the for sale section at www.performanceyears.com or www.classicalpontiac.com and find one for sale!
