sluggish

Have a 95 Chevy Monte Carlo. Just had a fuel pump, strainer, fuel filter. Put about two weeks ago. A week ago car start acting as if it was going to cut off. Did not cut off started acting sluggish..Does not do it all the time,then started making a noise that sounds like a truck car barley wants to move then it kicks in and drives fine. Can I get some advice before I take it to shop and they tell me something thats expensive..Help...
