Tranny problem after gasket change

Got an '04 with a 3.0
Problem is, I just changed the valve cover gaskets trying to fix an oil leak,
that is still unresolved.
Upon test driving after reassembling i noticed a lag in upshift only from 2nd
to 3rd gear!!! Engine tends to spin as if in neutral for a second only when shifting from 2nd to 3rd all other gears shift fine?
I'm thinking and hoping< that I either missed reconnecting a vac hose or a sensor?
Where would I begin to look?
Checked tranny fluid in park with engine running warm and it was full but not overfull and clean without a burnt smell?
Any help much appreciated.

Re: Tranny problem after gasket change

I'll probably get some responses after this post(finally)
but for the wrong reasons...

But two days and 20 views, and still no responses.
Boy this forum is just a treasure trove of knowledge!

Re: Tranny problem after gasket change

Could the oil leak problem I have could have caused thew tranny problems?
IE: oil leaking onto a trans sensor?
