Transfer Case Shifter Knob Removal

I've looked through the threads but can't find an answer.

I'm replacing my carpet in my 96 Sierra 4wd, but I have no idea how to remove the trans case shifter knob.

Any suggestions?

On my 90, it spins off (counter clockwise).
