steering disengage at full lock
When I have a sharp turn and turn the wheel to full lock, I lose driving power and the engine revs, like it has slipped out of gear. If you turn the wheel back, it "goes into gear"
Automatic trans of course, but I am wondering with front wheel drive is this just a failing CV axle? |

Re: steering disengage at full lock
If a CV joint fails you no longer move. There is no in between.

Re: steering disengage at full lock
Well I do lose power (not to the engine) like it is slipping out of gear, but just curious why it is just at full lock.

Re: steering disengage at full lock
I haven't tried that, it is just making U-turns, when I am actually just on the gas, trying to move it forward, feels like a stick in neutral.

Re: steering disengage at full lock
Is the transmission fluid level OK?
