Transmission Leaking
Just wandering if anyone has heard of this happening? I have a 2001 ford f150 5.4 automatic and I have had my truck jacked up in the front high enough to work under for about 3 weeks putting headers on. After over 2 weeks of being jacked up the transmission started leaking by the dipstick tube now before I go on I had to bend the trans dipstick tube a very very little up by the motor to clear the new headers. I really don't think this is the cause because that was a week before it started leaking. I was wandering if by any chance the torque converter is draining back in the trans. and over filling causing it to leak? HELP!!!

Re: Transmission Leaking
That is possible but i am wandering if there is an overflow vent on that side of the trans that lets fluid out if it gets overfilled and it is still jacked up and cant see on the side of the trans to see if there is a vent. My other problem is the new header is installed on that side and I cant get to the bolt to remove the trans tube. So I don't want to take the header back off if i don't need too.
