Hood won't pop open!

Hey, got another problem. I pull the hood release lever, and hear a small clink, but nothing like the hood has been released. This just started happening today. I tried to get up on the hood and make sure it was fully closed before I tried the lever again, but nothing's working.

Anyone have a workaround for this?

what kinda car is it. If you hear the click and the lever moves you can prolly pry it up with something then make sure you lube it before you close it again
