94 sub with code 32

I am getting code 32 on my 94 suburban
the book says 32 is the EGR valve. there is no EGR valve on this motor. there is a place for it but it has a blank plate over it.
so what should I be looking for?
this is a 1994 canadian build with a 5.7 TBI

The egr valve and egr valve parts that someone took off.

No egr valve is the reason you are getting code.

Also you may be getting spark knock if no working EGR vave on it.

that might be the case but if it is then GM took it off before it left the factory because it has no provision for the EGR system
the car made it from 1994 untill 2 days ago before the computer realised that it has no EGR system

Have the dealer run the vin no for EGR valve.

One book I have says that along with the EGR is also the MAP sensor for this code. Might want to look into that if it has one.
