Question 02 Venture Dilemma

Bought Used in 06 with 51K, has 123K now:

Rear Wiper Motor dead
Smell of Antifreeze, have to fill overflow occasionally, (new radiator cap)
No A/C--Condensor leak, lower left side
Front wheel towed
Front Passenger Turn Signal FAST, not the bulb
Service Engine Light always on
Failed Emissions P0420 (Cat converter)
BAD suspension/shocks? BUMPY ride
needs plugs/wires/tune-up
Driver side Slider Door doesn't always lock
Post-Factory power window mechanisms, driver side now a crank.

Still owe $4K for the next 15 months. Keep and fix or trade-in?

Re: 02 Venture Dilemma

Well, the big problem in that list is the loss of antifreeze. The rest of them are, to me at least, things you can live with for a little while. I would tackle the coolant loss (probably the now infamous lower intake manifold gaskets) and go from there. If you do the LIM gaskets yourself you'll only be about $100 in the hole.

If you do the good Permadry Plus Felpro gaskets (if you are even remotely going to keep the van use them).

Re: 02 Venture Dilemma

We found when our turn signals blinked quickly it wasnt necessarily the bulb but the actual board that the lights plug into. they are cheap. we have had this problem with our venture and montana.
