02 sunfire SE - WINDOW PROBLEMS

I have an 02 sunfire se 4 door - has the 2.2 in it not the 2.2 with DOHC - anyway when I bought the car the windows didnt roll down so someone told me that it was my main switch (the one in the center console) so I went and bought it brand new straight from the pontaic dealership ($150) put it in right there in the parking lot and bam.. the windows still wont go down. I had someone test the window motors and power is going to every window but they wont go up and down.. doesnt make sense. Is this a normal problem? Has anyone else had this problem and if so did you get it fixed & how?
