Buffy was a good one.

For me the favorite is Star Trek.
TOS was pretty campy but the spin-offs were excellent.
I also like the Stargate series, especially in the later years.

NOVA is excellent, too.

Man in a Suitcase, a British production from around 1967, only thirty episodes of which were made. It featured the excellent and prematurely grey American actor, Richard Bradford, and still has a dedicated cult following these many years later.

Forgot about classic UK tv. I liked "The Prisoner" and "UFO".

Tough call as my tastes have changed over the years.

So, lets pick Married With Children

Seinfeld is a total classic!

Big Bang Theory is okay, but imo totally ruined by using the most overdone, most fake laugh- track I have ever heard.

Every single feeble joke gets huge amounts of canned laughter, which is distracting and, imo insulting to the viewers.

At least Seinfeld recorded most of the show in front of a real audience. MUCH better.

Actually, it is filmed in front of a live studio audience. Face it, most people's laughs suck and there are several shows I can pick out one or two people whose laughs drive me crazy.

Re: What is your Favorite T.V show of all time?

After a brief cruise of the net, it appears I am not the only one irritated by the laughter on TBBT. Live or not, it seems edited/fake to me (too uniform from one gag to the next), and way overdone. There are TBBT clips on-line without the laugh track, which give it a different dynamic.

Most TV shows that film in front of a live audience also use canned laughter. The audience doesn't always laugh loudly at the same joke after the 5th or 10th take, so they enhance the laughter.

Re: What is your Favorite T.V show of all time?

I miss Ugly Betty (and own 3 seasons on DVD) and of course MacGyver (my first crush ever).

Nowadays I love Tosh.0, The Daily Show, The Big Bang Theory (and I laugh harder at the jokes than most anyone else, so how could I hear real/fake laughter anyway), Two and a Half Men. Oh, and my 2 guiltiest pleasures, My Life as Liz & Teen Mom 2.

Why not catch up with Stargate SG-1?. Richard Dean Anderson slowly fossilized before our eyes for 8 years on that show.

I watched Stargate SG-1 for a few years, but after about the second (or was it third) season I lost interest. I found I didn't enjoy it anymore.
