4L60E Rebuild
I have a 94 blazer with a 5.7 with 190k and original tran and motor. I can tell the trans is getting bad cause is can slip in OD under hard acceleration. 2nd wont slip. I am going to pull a 7k trailer once in awhile son i want to rebuild the tranny. What parts do i want to put in besides a converter, seals, and gaskets?

Well, taking into consideration the symptoms now and the fact you will be doing some towing heres what I would do: Master kit with Borg-Warner clutches and Borg-Warner band, Corvette servo, new "Beast" sun shell, upgrade 3-4 clutch pack, replace all aluminum pistons in the input drum to the molded rubber pistons. New pump assy with .500 boost valve. Replace all electrical components which in this transmission would be the shift solenoids, TCC solenoid, 3-2 solenoid, EPC. Inspect the reverse input drum real good where the band rides. Since you are having slippage in the band this drum might be too worn out, if it is, replace it. If you really want to go all the way, change out both front and rear planet assys from 4 pinion to 5 pinion. I usually set my clutch clearances on the tighter side of the scale. transman
