I have a '91 CRX HF and need a little assistance getting the thing back up and running. I had a little issues with the plug wire and distributor cap a little while ago and replaced them as well as the plugs themselves. For some reason the thing i having the hardest time starting. I checked the ECU and found that it was flasing both codes 15 and 16 which are Igniton Output Signal and a Defective Fuel Injector......Not being highly mechanical I checked all the wires running inside the distributor itself and couldn't find any loose connections or anything that visually looked out of place. Anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have spark?

I'm unable to check at the moment if it has a spark or not, but what might be the problem either way?

Re: '91 CRX Driving Me Nuts!
Bad igniter, coil, ignition switch, EFI main power relay, are you sure the distributor is turning (broken timing belt).

Re: '91 CRX Driving Me Nuts!
Alright, I had a spark but it was weak, replaced the entire distributor and am now getting a very strong spark through the spark plugs but its still not firing. The other code my ECU was putting out was 16 for the Fuel Injectors, but injectors dont just go bad, so what else could it be because there doesn't seem to be any fuel getting to the spark plugs?

Re: '91 CRX Driving Me Nuts!
Do you have power to the injectors and or do you hear the fuel pump running or have power to the fuel pump?

Re: '91 CRX Driving Me Nuts!
Yeah, we have power to the fuel pump and can hear the fuel pump running. How can you tell/check if the fuel injectors themselves are getting any power to them?

Re: '91 CRX Driving Me Nuts!
We had the car start briefly and then it cut off. When we went to try and start it over afterwards, it wasnt doing anything. I check the spark plugs and they are bone dry, is that an indicator that fuel isnt getting to them?

Ok, I replaced the entire distributor and reconnected everything and my ECU is still throwing a code 15 (Ignition output signal) even though I have really good sparks compared to before replacing the distributor. Also, the ECU is still throwing a code 15 after the new distrib. Gave up with that, started working on the code 16 (defective fuel injectors) and replaced the Main Relay and checked to see if I had a bad pressure regulator for fuel flow and it seems to be good. Running out of ideas on how to fix this thing........
