85 MR2 no start

Car wont turn over, has rebuilt engine that ran. starter engages, crank turns cams turn. Distributor rotor is on correctly. Firing: 1, 3, 4, 2.

Will could a possible vacuum hose that isnt in place cause it to not even turn over?

it dont even sound like its about to or anything.

I can get pics and a vid soon.
