2002 PA Air Shocks?
I am looking for replacement air shocks and found these Monroes:
http://www.shockwarehouse.com/site/p...s-Pair-GM-Cars Will these work out okay? They do not say Sensatrack, but I have not found any that say Sensatrack for the rear. I read some older posts where the ride was much harder after the new shocks were installed. I would like to just hook the new shocks into the existing lines. The rear of the car currently rocks side to side on the highway. It has a slight leak in the right rear shock where the cylinder slides on the rubber boot. |

They should work for you. When I replaced mine I went to napa and bought a pair of rear shocks, I do not remember what brand they were. They bolted right up and the air lines fit with no problems for me.

Thanks. I bought them yesterday at our local O'Reilly's. They had them in stock and the best price. I will install them this morning. I found several reviews on them and nearly all were very positive.

Re: 2002 PA Air Shocks?
Rides like a dream now and it didn't take long to replace the shock. I will do the left side later as that side is okay still. Basically, the right side was rusted out. The compressor must place quite a bit of moisture in the shocks.

Re: 2002 PA Air Shocks?
Good deal, you know if you want to you can wipe/spray the rubber part of the shock with some quality interior protectant like 303. What it will do is keep the rubber from drying out. A lot of times the shock will fail because of cracks in the rubber. Just jack the car up and apply as needed maybe a couple of times a year.
Maybe someone can give info about the rust out. Mine have failed due to the cracked rubber. Hopefully the other side goes on and off easy too. |

Re: 2002 PA Air Shocks?
I'll have to try some protectant on the rubber. The rubber looked fairly good on the old shocks, but there was pin hole in the rusted metal. As it began to leak, it probably added that much more moisture to the inside of the shock because the compressor would run more. Made a huge difference on the freeway today. Thanks.
