Scale Auto Style
I got some scale auto style parts for the honda s2000 a while ago but have decided to go a different way with the model. I am planning to sell them but have no idea of their worth, does anybody know how much they sell for on the bay or are they just worthless plastic? cheers.
I am a newbie cause i was told to come here and ask by somebody on the hobbytalk forum and must say after having a look around this is a very cool place to be, some of the work on here is out of this world. |

A lot of people on ebay won't know that so if you're going to list them for sale I'd do it fast. As far as price I would set the reserve price at five dollars more than you paid for it. If it has any worth above that you won't have any problem getting bids accordingly.

![]() I think it won't sell for more than $20 bucks. As all the bodykits will be reproduced soon. |

Soon is a very vague term, it can be a couple of months or a year.

Re: Scale Auto Style
Which one do you have? The current SAS website (new Canadian owner) is selling the S2000 aero kit for $16. Not sure if it's the same aero styling, though.
As far as all the old stuff being reproduced "SOON", I've been hearing that "SOON" a lot, but hasn't it already been quite a while since SAS was purchased? I'm guessing if that's the case, it's more of a side hobby and not a business. On that same note with the product line, I surely hope future products don't look anything like the F20C engine kit. It doesn't impress me at all. Not to be ragging, but since business is business... it's merely critique from a consumer.

Re: Scale Auto Style
The body kit is based on the marga hills kit.
![]() The hardtop is based on the mugen one. ![]() and the hood is also based on the mugen one. .the kit looks the same but without the spoiler. |

Re: Scale Auto Style
I'd say the hood and the hardtop would sell for more than the aero kit. *shrug* who knows you might find someone to buy the aero kit on ebay for a good price.

Re: Scale Auto Style
does anyone have any pics of any items from them from the new producer
? Like the ford dully,or the f20c motor, or any of the new tooling? Any other opinions? Reason why i ask is i pretty much have all of chris's old t-kits from SAS and they were really great with no air bubbles and hardly any flash. Also I really dislike the new white resin, tan yellowish was better in my opinion. And like everyone is stating the kits aren't coming soon enough. We're very anxious sebastion. |

It just looks like a modified Revell Honda K20 lump of resin. Personally, I think he'd make a lot more $$ selling the old stuff while it's still in demand. Every day gone by without selling product is $$$ down the drain. Surely you can't make a decent profit or even break even on the investment of acquiring the business by selling a limited selection of product for $5-20 a piece every once in a while. |

As far as selling old stuff against developing new product, Sebastian told me that market is flooded with Chris stuff at the moment and that's why he's not pushing that line of product, I don't know how much truth is in that tough.... |

If that's the case, DAMN let me know where it's being sold so I can buy it! Maybe that's just being the case locally in Canada, but I definitely don't see the old stuff being listed anywhere else on a regular basis to say the market is absolutely flooded with it. I wonder what was wrong with the original products in the first place? Wasn't that the one of the reasons why it was purchased in the first place?Personally, I think it's far easier to make a turn around $$$ with a product that's already been developed and ready to go. The side $$ influx from those sales could hopefully help offset the development of new products. Starting completely from scratch investing large amounts of time and $$ without a cash flow to offset it seems wasteful. *shrug* Again, what the heck do I know I'm just a regular consumer throwing out observations. Note: I'm not trying to grill anyone if it comes off that way.
